Biagi's Believers in Hope was formed in 2003 after Marci Biagi was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. To help with the effort to raise funds for patient support programs, research and to find a CURE. Our goal is raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis a debilitating, incurable disease so that soon no one will have to hear those daunting words "You have MS".
Our team rallies together each year with one goal in mind, to raise money. In 2010, because of the economy Biagi's Believers had our first Walk MS Raffle. With the community, friends and family 100% behind our effort we were blessed with fifty amazing prizes. Our team worked tirelessly to solicit raffle prizes and to sell hundreds of raffle tickets. Thank you to everyone on our team and the 'friends' of our team and our generous prize and financial donors. Because of you we were able to not only meet, but to exceed our 2010 fund raising goal. Our plan is to make this an annual event.
Amy Biagi, Marci's eldest daughter is the team captain for Biagi's Believers in Hope. To join our team or make a donation please contact either Amy at 916-308-0904 or Marci at 209-304-2932.
About Marci Biagi
Marci
was diagnosed with MS in 2002. Over the years MS has effected her in
various ways; vision loss, numbness, vertigo, fatigue, pain and loss of balance. In
2007, MS, compromised the nerves that control her vocal cords a
condition known as Spastic Dysphonia. For almost two years she could
only speak in a breathless whisper and talking on the telephone was
out of the question. During that period of time her communication
was limited to email and instant messaging. Over the last year she
have been blessed with partial remission and although her voice is
raspy and without the luxury of volume she can speak more easily and
the phone is a more reasonable method of communication.
